Connecting Insurtech and Insurers
This feature discusses the role of MGA incubators can play in acting as the ‘connector’ between Insurtech start-ups and established insurers. Representatives of the two communities may be talking different languages and coming at customer challenges from a different perspective, but can benefit from tapping into each other’s skill sets. If customers buy into Insurtech products and the way they are presented, the pressure will increase on traditional insurers to adopt the innovations. For their part insurers can ‘test the water’ by participating in start-up and early development MGAs.
